Hello all,
This is a coin that I had recently came into my possession and I haven't really made any headway on it.
This is a coin that is 28.5mm in diameter, nearly 1mm thick, and 1.6g in weight.
Hope this helps!

1913 20 para Istambul bridge passage token. Multiple listings on ebay.
I would suspect that your 28 mm diameter is a typo as 1.6 gram weight is too low for that.

Did you try search by image?

Did you try search by image?
One problem with the Numista search by image is that many times if the image is not orientated the same as the picture in Numista it won't be found.
Example 1 - Picture as saved from the OP:

No hits.
Example 2 - Picture rotated 90° CCW to be close to orientation in Numista:

Still no hits.
Example 3 - Picture rotated to be same orientation as in Numista:

Perfect hit.
Note that also using the picture of the other side didn't help.
Google search on the other hand has no problem with pictures in different orientations. Note the hit of the Numista page with the original picture.

Perhaps @Xavier can shed some light on this.
So we need some AI here?
We have some AI. We need smarter AI?
Which can turn around laying on the floor to find proper angles. That's what we need. If Google can then numista can?
No AI will help, if user thinks that item is a coin, runs search with default filters set to coins and item is listed in token category.
Doesn't change the fact that the Numista search by image has some flaws. Obviously if the user selects only Banknotes to search for a coin that would be problematic. And yes, better AI would help if it expands the search when no exact matches are found. If you remember, before the change, if you searched in coins with no hits it would then search in exonumia and let you know if it found hits there.
