Tibet silver 1953 [solved]

Again…to show & check for special, stories? I have looked all up but wanted opinion

Hello Jeanne, may I ask where the identification “3 Shokang 1953” comes from? Did you write it on the cards or was it already there?

Anyways, the identification is not correct. First of all, 3 Shokang doesn't exist. Shokang is a very specific word for 1 Sho, so a coin with 3 times that value isn't 3 Shokang but 3 Sho. And 1 Sho (Shokang) and 3 Sho coins are copper.

Your coin is a silver 3 Srang: N#21437

Also “1953” isn't correct. Your left coin is “year 11” (1937), your right coin is “year 10” (1936). You can read the dates in the red circle (your reverse pictures are upside down):

Nice coins by the way.

Thank you Essor Prof. Appreciate you clearing that up and explaining
