Delete coins out of swaps

This message aims at: suggesting an idea to improve Numista

It often happens that coins are selected into swaps that later are not wanted anymore for whatever reason.

This can be simple change of mind, non availability, too bad condition, too expensive, etc.

Today - at least to my knowledge - there is no way to delete it out of the swap again which may create confusion

and a lack of overview.

Maybe this has been discussed before, if so I do apologize, but it makes sense to implement a delete function

for coins to be removed again.

best wishes

in the end everything will be good - if it's not good, then it's not the end...

Hello,
The idea is already tracked with https://en.numista.com/forum/topic44056.html

Feel free to comment over there.

Ok, this idea seems to be extremely complicated and has been discussed for 9 years now, even though 68 people are in favor. Happy to withdraw it.
I have to admit I am quite astonished that a simple thing like that the one, and only the one, who selected a coin into a swap can simply kick it again, can lead to major constraints about “but…“, „what if…“, „it could be that….“ 😉

in the end everything will be good - if it's not good, then it's not the end...

Just one question, how can a suggestion with the lead of 5-0 eventually get rejected?

I'm just trying to comprehend the purpose of voting if the admin can still reject it?

Hello,

This idea was not rejected. Only this thread was rejected because the idea is already tracked in another thread:
https://en.numista.com/forum/topic44056.html

More generally, voting is a way for me to assess the popularity of ideas. They are not my unique way to decide though. One reason is that they aren't representative: 5 votes is a small number compared to 30 000 active members and 1.2 million monthly visitors. In my prioritization, I also take into account technical cost and alignment with my vision for Numista.

Regarding this confusion, I remember a suggestion to create a third end status for a suggestion, but I searched for it and could not find it. Now a suggestion is accepted or rejected. The new status is similar to “duplicated” (when a suggestion is rejected because is duplicated and is followed on another topic).

Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.
