Olympic medals for the organizers

Have a nice Olympic day, colleagues.

Here I gave a suggestion for creating a medal for the organizers of the Olympic Games. Only for the director and scenographer who will go down in history and will be remembered forever at all future Olympics.

I personally consider the world to be colorful and I am able to perceive the diversity of life. But if it was already, as always fake, I still couldn't find "Mohamed" there in a bikini or on the sandpit. so hypocritical as always -half-baked and ill-conceived.

Here is the design of the medal (I just can't transfer the image to the body of the coin) I can't do it.

Here is a sample of the series for the collection "The Lord's Last Supper":

Or is it really a scene according to the Dutch painter,,Jan Hermanz Van Bijlert,, with the name of the painting,,, Feast of the Gods,, ?

I didn't even pull it out of the capsule - photographed through the capsule.     I think it's an original, no copies.

And if I can't put it on the body digitally, I can do it manually.

I don't even get why people are upset over this at all,… it wasn't even depicting the last supper it was depicting it was based on an old painting of Greek gods. Christians sure willl get riled up over nothing 🤣

I am not religious in the slightest (rather the opposite) but this looks like Sodom and Gomorrah. Keep your fetishes at home not in the public.

You would've hated the original Olympics then (they were all naked 😱)

-Ash

Most likely, but I think they just stopped war for a bit, arrived (no pompous processions), oiled up, won or lost then left and started warring again.

Oh yes, yes it would be nice if it stopped the war during the Olympics.   It would save many lives.  Unfortunately, nobody respects the rules anymore.

he's referring to the ancient greek olympics where the states would have wars with eachother as well as olympic games with eachother. Olympia was free from war, and was a space refuge for atheletes regardless if the city states they were from were at war.

Yes. All the athletes had to take a shower after the races in Rio, except the French ones. After all, they don't usually do that, lol.

Just a joke to relax with the French friend

Showering is a serious subject!

By the way, do you know why Brazilians always sing in the shower?

Cause in Brazil, even water has rhythm in its skin!

I can't understand why people got upset over it. Seems some Christians need to get a sense of humour, like us Christians have our own Taliban or Sanhedrin. It was quite funny.

Besides its the frou frou French, they always love that avant garde stuff. Plus France was the first country in the world to legalise same sex relationships back in 1810 with the Code Napoleon and despite attempts by Nazis, it has never been revoked.

Would love to see what actual medals look like (I am a New Zealander, so we have won bugger all medals so far!) it seems the team medals are smaller than individual ones and I know pure gold or mostly gold medals have not been made since 1912 Stockholm. The medals now are gold plated silver and I think even muck metal may be taking over soon. Silver medals are usually silver and Bronze being a base metal is bronze.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

No they attacked you as you expressed some hateful attitudes, do transgender athletes and drag queen fetes really offend you that much, because it may occur to you that many of us Rainbow community people are offended by bullshit made up hate and death cults masquerading as religions, yet unlike you we choose to keep those views to ourselves.

As a gay man, I should not have to temper my attitudes and ways to satisfy some bigots who hate me anyway. Free speech goes two ways, bigots can use it to incite hate, but the left and marginalised communities can also use it as a voice of resistance and courage.

PS - It is spelled “Blasphemic”, its a Greek word hence the ph sounds like an f.

I wish you a nice Olympic weekend.

I watch sports performances, in my youth I played a lot of sports and did many disciplines, but I was not destined to stand out and be successful.

I love sports and now I applaud in front of the TV when I see a good performance.

I wasn't even offended by the opening, and I wasn't insulted or offended, I perceive the world to be really colorful and diverse.  And if anyone behaves normally and decently - I have no problem.

The mentioned boxer 🥊 I looked at it: She was born a girl, has organs like a woman, and feels like a woman.

And the fact that the boys laughed at her when she played football and mocked her so she boxed them, she liked it and started to devote herself to this sport, women's boxing.

I think it's fine.

,, Hormones don't compete to see who has more of which, but people do.,,

My medal goes to the creators for their portrayal of the opening of the games and the display of freedom of thought in the city of games.

It's just that the creators avoided the largest immigrant community and did not depict their thinking and habits.

Why?

Because they would raze the city to the ground, and that's why I wrote about the bullshit to show the true face of the city, which I consider weakness and cowardice.  But that is something that must neither be talked about nor hinted at.  however, the omnipresent police are certainly not there because of the 69 types of sex.

And I made and awarded the medal and he deserves it for his efforts and work.  It's nice, but the heat is not pleasant, today is OK.

Somebody diligent observed that one of the performers at the above mentioned event was photographed with one testicle hanging out of their short pants, but it turned out to be a hole in their tights. Well, funny anyways… (who looks for stuff like that?).

Interesting but not in any way associated with the controversy with the two female boxers.  The IOC did not question that they were born female, raised female and were not on PED's or male hormone therapy.  The cause was they were banned from international competition last year for having testosterone levels above an arbitrary limit, a limit the IOC does not recognize.

That's right - this is the Olympics and it is run according to the rules applicable to the Olympic Games.   Whoever does not want to compete according to these rules should not have flown there-and should have stayed home.

That's where the rules come from and what applies elsewhere is not relevant now.  This rule was known in advance.   They are also looking for a time when professionals couldn't start 🤣🤣 and a hockey player who went to sell his company's products in the auditorium between games.

I never liked the Olympics much anyway. Its overhyped, overdone and really just a showcase for super athletes to win medals and show off in the name of National pride. Its always the USA, China and various European nations that sweep most of the medals along with Australia, Canada etc. Plus the Slavic world grabs it's fair share. Meanwhile most of the 3rd world gets nearly none (Look at how many medals say Nigeria has won - Okay some East African countries win a few long distance running medals as they all live at 2000m asl and thus can breathe better, and some Caribbean Black people occasionally beat Black Americans, Canadians and Britons in the sprinting) and even India bats way below its weight - with 1.5 billion people, it should be winning at least 20% of all the medals.

Ever seen a Black person from Africa win anything outside boxing and long distance running? or say an athlete from South America outside Brazil and Argentina win anything? What about Pacific Islanders from an actual Pacific Island, not Australia, USA or New Zealand?

Plus every year you have drug cheats mostly from China and hostile slavic countries like Russia, Belarus, and Nosmiledrugastan.

Most of the time, we can't be bothered with other games like World Championships, Masters and even the Commonwealth games are squirting out their death throes, yet the world goes goo goo over the Olympics.

The media is lying saying Paris is thriving because of Olympics, its actually nearly bankrupt and many cafes and attractions are actually struggling because of the Olympics. The Olympics costs billions for each city to run and new stadiums are often built and not used after the games.

So yeah a big load of nothing in my opinion. Let athletes practice athletics and sports - but let them enjoy it and have fun, not this quadrannual competition of the biggest, strongest, fastest etc.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Yes, the Olympic competitions and their sports belong to the best in the given disciplines - that's right.

I'm watching the girls' four games right now, and ours are losing to the Spaniards for the bronze.

You can play tennis anywhere in the (normal) world 🎾 you need to build a "court" and have a bat with a ball.

But let's remember how it was:

Father of Alexander the Great of Macedon-He was the Olympic gold medalist in horse riding.  Why?  Well, because he was the best.  And he won.  And that is why he is depicted on a horse on almost all coins.

The reason as to why I like the Olympics is because it's a sort of World Exposition of Sports. Once every four years it's possible to see sports that you didn't know existed. I've discovered trampoline as a sporting event and I watched some of the rugby sevens games including the final (nice one kiwi's). I also watched skateboarding - a totally unfamiliar sport to me with speakers having a strange vocabulary that I didn't understand, but very entertaining, especially when watching a skater from Slovakia in plain, non-sponsored skating outfit.

Under normal circumstances we have 16 TV channels where I live - we don't want to pay for TV, so that's what we get for free. One of the channels always show sports, but during the Olympics four of the channels show sports 24/7. My favorites are sports that are unknown to me and sports with underdogs, whom I like to watch being given a fair chance.

I've never understood what makes olympic boxing interesting and to me cycling is the most boring sport - ever. Beach volley is nice to watch for some toosh in action. Handball is my favorite action packed team sports. I guess the only olympic sport I haven't yet seen is field hockey.

For me, cycling was a great emotion, so different from the team races that we know from “Le tour de ”France, Italy or Spain. Rugby sevens, an intense discovery. Women's gymnastics, a real treat with the phenomenal Simone Biles. And then Judo (a modern Kata-guruma from Joan-Benjamin Gaba in the mixed team judo final), swimming and ping-pong, it's been a week that the Olympics have occupied my afternoons with fun sports that I'm discovering like three-a-side basketball, bicycle motocross, mountain biking or kayak cross (even if I find that this last sport is not sustainable with the pumps that supply the current - it's probably my Meadows side, from the Club of Rome for those who know)

But that's exactly what our sports discipline is - to share our views on sports, even though most of us are overweight and sitting, lying on comfortable seats.  But you all have to admit that the athletes enjoy it.  And full stands of the stadium say that people are enjoying it too.   However, I would be interested in the opinion of the inhabitants of the city - how do they feel, are there not too many people there?

the seine may not be clean enough for the olympics, but it’s well on its way to being clean enough… one day. So kudos for the Parisians for doing that .

on another note, I found that boast strange of Rotterdam Being the biggest harbour in the world… Rotterdam is what I would call a cosy city compared to some of the megapolises I’ve lived in and visited over time. As far as its harbour is concerned, the world council of ports puts it at #10.. a far cry from being “the biggest”. The Chinese earn the top spots for that

And our triathlete who got 2nd, could not join the team event as he got E coli from swimming in that polluted sewer running through Paris.

We hardly seen any, as a pay TV network controls access to the games with 12 channels (They are charging $40 access for 12 days of games) and all we have is one channel that has a 5 minute long ad break, then 5 minutes of programme and that includes 2 minutes of supporters messages helped by a commercial phone network. All the coverage is based around NZ athletes and given that we have won just 9 medals so far,  most in sailing, yachting, kayaking etc - how boring that is. We can't win medals in the water or athletics anymore due to all the Druganovas from the Eastern Block, Chinese cheats and American/Australian hyper athletes from their institutes of sport. Plus we can't out run the Sub Saharans that dominate athletics. Whats the point in even coming.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Druganova was a name I made up in the Beijing 2008 era meaning a woman from Russia or an Eastern European country who never smiles, even if they win a gold medal and always look like they have steroids and usually get caught out for cheating - due to a repressive country's win or else sports programme (Losers often get shot or sent to a gulag). Same in China, remember the scandals with 12 year gymnistes who were claimed to be 18 and forced to perform by the crazy communist regime that has no value for human life.

Then there were super athletes like Michael Phelps who 50% larger in body size that other athletes and now we have a raft of biological men and ultra masculine looking people like Arabian boxer and some runner called Semeniya or something a few years ago.

I wonder how ancient Greeks dealt with shemales and he men back in the day? I mean I know they did not have communist and/or Eastern bloc countries that had win or die programmes and forced steroid/testorone injections like now.

The media sucks too and is playing its usual “Gold or nothing” tricks, our athlete who got silver in the mens triathlon was very happy yet this is our how our lop sided media wrote it  - “Heartbreak as Wilde is robbed of gold by evil Singaporean” “Has to settle for silver with nations tears”. Honestly our media must be trained by North Korea.

Fortunately in France the games are broadcast almost entirely by free state channels, even if they insist a lot on the French compared to the other champions. Last night there was a magical moment when Armand Duplantis broke the world record in the skydiving. It had been half an hour since all the other competitions had finished and not a single one of the 750,000 spectators had left the stadium, all waiting with the King of Sweden for this magical moment.

Not only did some right wingers and “Christians” attack this thing for its gay/leftie/lets attack bronze age fairytales outrage. They even picked on the organizer and main performer Thomas Jolly (Who is blue Dionysos, the Greek God of pleasure) - why because he is Jewish and red blooded fundy Christians lost their shit over a “homosexual Joo insulting Jeebasus”. Then we had the Yanks bring up the “Cheese eating surrender monkeys” line from a Simpsons episode mocking France (1998 I think which had French Politicians all looking like De Gaulle, speaking Maurice Chevalier style and with striped blazers and rings of onions, along with a bomb saying “Intel Inside”) so really intelligent hey.

Anything to defend their Bronze Age book of fairytales. I say Vive le Thomas Jolly - he made me Jolly. Those queens were out there and representing.

The discipline is called pole vault and that's an awful lot of spectators in a stadium. 😁

Duplantis is known for this behaviour as he has done it before at other championships. He usually makes the first try at 5.70 m and then skips every second height until the competitors have all used their three trials at the same height. Then he usually has jumped all heights with no misses and still has all of the three trials left even though he has won the competition. Yesterday this was acchieved at 6.10 m (new Olympic record) after which he wanted to use his three trials at the 6.25 m (new World record and 0.01 m higher than the previous World record, which Duplantis set in April 2024) and he succeeded at the third trial. Great showmanship.

The Olympics are hosted in Europe every second time, which makes it an event that potentially would be hosted at NZ longitude every eight to sixteen years - latest being Tokyo in 2020 (2021) and before that Beijing in 2008. Next time will be in Brisbane 2032.

I remember following the Olympics on TV from Los Angeles in 1984 (we only had one national channel at the time), they broadcasted all evening/night until the early morning. The first Olympics I watched on TV was from Moscow in 1980.

If you like to swim, I can invite you to our Maasvlakte-beach….very nice and clean.

or take part in the Rotterdam triathlon, a cosy little port …

yes, for your information; Rotterdam is not cosy or little, it is the biggest harbour in the world…

the seine may not be clean enough for the olympics, but it’s well on its way to being clean enough… one day.

The Chinese earn the top spots for that

if you say it….

Rotterdam is a cozy city, yes I say it. Rotterdam is not the largest port, worldshipping.org says that

Please bear with all decency Ladies and Gentlemen, the Olympics ends tomorrow - a holiday of sports and time competitions that should be without wars.  This is where the best of the best are supposed to meet and fight.  Tomorrow will be the closing ceremony, so I'm looking forward to what the host country will surprise us with.

So hold on and it will be on coins and in our collections.

Thanks for that, but its nearly over too.

Plus NZ is cursed timezone wise. Its 10 hours ahead of Paris, so Olympic Games happen between 7.30pm and 9am our times, with the juiciest events happening between 3am and 7am, when most of us are asleep.

Plus did I mention its midwinter here.

Then New Zealand is the new olympic champion in high jump !
It's official: the animal symbol is no longer the kiwi but the southern rockhopper penguin of the aukland island.

Referee of south atlantic islands

I know it's a bit late, but congrats to Spain (Men's) and USA (Women's) for winning gold on football! ⚽ See ya guys in Los Angeles!

Numista's Unofficial Soccer Maniac! ⚽

Yes even I am surprised how NZ has bought it back. We have the worlds best high jumper and female golfer (Lydia Ko won the Women's golf easily with a 10 under final round). Dame Lisa Carrington, won her third gold medal of the games and 8th gold medal in total making her New Zealand's greatest Olympian of all time and putting her up there with the Phelpses, Bolts and Byles.

That means we have 18 medals now, just 2 less than  Tokyo, but with 9 golds, the most ever in one games - 18 medals is misiscule next to big countries like USA, China, Australia and various Western European nations - but for a tiny country of 5 million, that is often left off most maps, its a total many can be envious of. Take India, it has less medals that us, yet has 300 times our population. We are ahead of most Nordic countries, all of South America including Brazil and all of Africa. We sit in 12th place out of 82 medal winning nations. Usually we finish around 20th.

Even better is many of our athletes are Maori or Polynesian (Like Maddie Wesche silver medallist in women's shot) and a lot of them are women (Real ones too, no transgender or blokes in dresses). Plus we are winning medals in unexpected events like Canoe Slalom (Finn Butcher - GOLD medallist) and Triathlon (Hamish Wylde - silver).

Hopefully now its the sport that will count for these games, rather than gender confusion, opening ceremonies and polluted rivers.

I mean hatemongers and right wingers hanging out on that cesspool X tried to say that Thomas Jolly was Jewish (The blue bacchus and organiser of that drag queen thing) when in fact he is just a typical Frenchman with a big nose, his grandad was a Roman Catholic Catechist and that the Algerian boxer is a real woman, never been trans or a man, she has some testosterone disorder, yet haters tried to say she was a trans man. Forgetting that Algeria is on the Al Qaeda/ISIS level of fanaticism and there is no way a transgender athlete would be allowed to breathe let alone represent in a sporting event.

Hopefully x and Elon Musk will be forgotten by 2028 and social media will be in its death throes along with these culture wars which are ripping society apart. People like Yvon are living proof of this.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

… and that the Algerian boxer is a real woman, never been trans or a man, she has some testosterone disorder …

In the old days (when I was a wee lad) it was common knowledge that some women of Semitic people ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semitic_people ) could grow a moustache when coming of age. People would know this if they had a life outside social media.

It's like if during an international ironing contest, there was a man without an XY chromosome, it would be unfair competition.
Okay, that's done.

Thanks for ejecting this troublemaker with a humor as bad as the opening ceremony.

Now that the games is over, just saw this on YouTube. Interesting.

Watching the Paralympics now, very interesting indeed.

For some reason, our networks had limited coverage of the proper Olympics, but we have wall 2 wall coverage of these, mainly as we clean up in them.

Amazed all the people who got outraged over Trans athletes, manlike women and drag queen opening ceremonies are not up in arms about the wokeness and PCness of having a disabled games. Oh well, guess we just have to wait for a trans man athlete with mild autism winning all the medals in some women's events.

There has officially been Paralympic Games since 1988 and unofficially even longer. The history goes back to after WWII when British veterans with disabilities began to compete in sports in 1948 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paralympic_Games

Today I was in the neighbouring county of Buckinghamshire and noticed they have extra wording on their road signs
