So I came across this post and told someone to add this french pattern to numista

then someone pointed out to me that it was in exonumia https://en.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia170957.html

Why are similar to this patterns on the coin page while others are on the exonumia page?

If it is a pattern should it not be on the coin page unless if was a pattern for a end goal that was not going to be issued for the intent as a coin or non circulating coin?

Not just French patterns but patterns in general have gone back and forth between coins and enonumia.  It's definitely not consistent.

Here is when I think it started:  https://en.numista.com/forum/topic123854.html

However, with the changes in the catalog categories currently being discussed, I'd wait until the dust settles before requesting any specific change.  https://en.numista.com/forum/topic144308.html

The hope is that when all is decided whatever changes occur are applied consistently on all the current items.

We will have unified search to find all of them. Patterns will be in one category in the future.
