I want to create a new currency based on silver for our town and our store. So I'm going to run a contest, design a coin or banknote and the winner will get a 50 dollars voucher in our store if the design is accepted.
Use programs like photoshop or draw it, be creative.
The banknote or coin must have the currency written in grams.
So like 10 gram or more on the bill and 1 gram or more on the coins.

Well not really, but as soon as possible would be great!
I contacted several mints to create coins, a full fledged minted prototype coin would cost me 2000 usd :S
I also contacted the bank of Canada to create a silver backed paper currency, they need to get back on me on that one.
If you can design that would be great.

Yep, the town of Wassenaar. Not just our store. The idea is that the currency is based on silver. So on the bills and coins you have the amount of silver that it's worth. Most importantly, the banknotes have to be printed on exsisting silver stockpiles. We start with selling them on our website and then we introduce them. Of course, for it be legal, we can't call it currency. Rather checks. When the dollar and euro collapses it's an idea to keep the town alive. I already have it patent pending and investors ready with an Alaskan and Chinese supplier ready to print and mint.
