I don't read/write Japanese, sorry, but isn't the denomination of this coin as listed on the above web page 10,000 Yen and not 100,000 Yen as it is currently shown?

100,000: 十万
10,000:  拾万
At your URL:

As best I can tell 100,000 is 十万
The coin shows:  拾万円  which to me translates into 10,000 Yen?
拾=10
万=1000
円=yen

Does this page need updating or am I mistaken?

The 拾 is for 10.

The 万 in for 10,000.

Together they are 10 of the 10,000 or 100,000 in total.

It is interesting to note that Google translate gets it wrong and reports 10,000.

On the other hand, the site https://jisho.org with 拾万 in the search field gets it correct at 100,000.

The reason may be that 拾 is an old kanji for 10, google basically ignores the character.

These are indeed older or formal number characters. Today only the ones for 1, 2, 3 and 10 are used in legal or financial documents to prevent easy manipulation by adding some strokes like making a 10 out of a one  etc. 一 → 十.

SOunds like the page is OK as-is, so I will mark this one rejected.
