Info about KATZ Auctions for coins purchases

Hi, 

I was not active for some time on the forum, but am kind of trying to change source for my coins purchases. So far, I was getting stuff from ebay, MA shops and these similar platforms. Sometimes i run into good deals, sometimes not, it is what it is :-). I am planning now to source some cheaper UNC coins from auctions, not gonna risk with expensive stuff. 

So my question is, has anyone purchased recently from KATZ auctions, what are fees, shipping cost and delivery times, realiability and so on. I see advert is running on NUMISTA website but i never had a first hand experience with them. 

So if someone could help me, I would appreciate it.

Ive had only good experiences with them.

you will have to add 24.2% + shipping fee on your aquired lots.

Service and packaging was great.

first time you have a limit with them of 500€ I believe.

Yeah, from lots that i have seen they seem pretty reliable in terms of modern coins, antique coins are different animal :-). 

I would say their grading is fair for auction items, they mention all these small flaws in coins, so i will give it a try

Assuming that shipping of items to Germany is not expensive, 24.2% fee seems okay to me. 

I have to agree with apuking, service, reliability and packaging is impeccable.

Delivery times: the last one (3 days ago): 1 day from Czech Republic to Belgium:

Concerning shipment fee: this year they've changed to UPS and the shipment fee went from 15 to 20 EURO to 40 EURO, something you have to consider:

What's also interesting on Katz: they use Numista reference numbers in their descriptions, so you only have to copy/paste that number on a Numista sheet and you have all the information:

Wow, 40 euros for shipping in EU? 40 euros lol? 

I hope they have some cheaper shipping options via Czech Post, because if it is a flat rate of 40 euros, i wont be using them.

I have made many very good deals with Katz auctions also.

Oh, how nice of you to evaluate the exact same coins I received from them. Just wondering how? Also, how dare you to judge me. I am long enough in that business to distinguish a die polish line from a brush hair line. But if you are such an expert, why don’t you work for them, or do you ;*)

My experience: Bid, won and paid in April, its almost August, still no coins. Received two BS emails, like we are working on it, now not even that. Called them today, they hung up. I know for a fact that is not a single occurrence, when they simply took someone's money and pretended like nothing happened.
