Hey, is anyone planning a trip to the F.U.N. (Florida United Numismatists) show near Orlando, FL on Jan. 10-13 2013?
If so, I will be going and I would like to meet some new people who are interested in the same things that I am. Here's a link:  http://www.funtopics.com/
Sarcasm seems to be my only defense for stupidity.

 From above topic ...
Quote: pnightingaleOur local (Largo, Florida) coin show on November 3rd was a real bust. However we do have the FUN convention in early 2013 which young Mr James Wolfe and I are planning to attend along with anyone else who can make it down here. I hear nothing but good things about it but I've never been able to attend the previous ones.
If I can walk away with even half the haul you have there I would consider it time well spent.

I sorta wish we had some coin shows up here even Yorkshire or Scotland would do ! I just can't be bothered with the drive down to London hence why I will be arriving via train ha!

Rather than as far as London there are some a bit closer in Birmingham - and held every month.

I would really like to go on Friday as this looks interesting:

11:30 AM Educational Seminar. “Telltale Signs of Altered and Counterfeit Coins,” by Skip Fazzari. Mr. Fazzari writes a monthly column on this subject for Numismatic News. His program will give very important tips that can keep collectors “one step ahead of the bad guys!” Don’t miss it! Room S230F.

It may be as late as Saturday before I can get there though because we have out of state visitors who will probably be using my truck.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
Mark, they used to have coin shows at the Guildhall, I've attended in the past. I don't know if they still have them but the building is worth seeing anyway, one of Newcastle's best kept secrets.
