Series FAO Series? Series F.A.O.?

Could someone explain these anomalies?

1)

If I start a coin search and try to filter by series typing “FAO Series” in the series box doesn't find any matches.

But when I edit a coin and type “FAO” in the series box there are two choices,  “FAO” and “FAO Series”.

2)

If I start a coin search and try to filter by series typing “F.A.O.” in the series box doesn't find any matches, and typing “f a o” pulls up a list of matches that doesn't include “F.A.O”.

But some coins are in that series. Example:

(But I have an edit request to change that to series FAO.)

(It would be nice to replace all uses of series “FAO Series” and “F.A.O.” with series “FAO”.)

I merged the series name variants to keep “FAO” only.

Let me keep this topic open to verify the behaviour for acronyms in series names in general.
