Hi,

I am interested in how the website deals with record tie-breakers. I have a situation where I have 2 2023-issued 5 pounds coins, related to King Charles' coronation and 75th birthday. The latter coin shows as the newest, even though it was issued earlier in the same year than the coronation coin (maybe because the actual event it commemorates is later?). Correspondingly it's parameters are shown as largest and heaviest, even though the other 5 pounds coin has them exactly the same (shouldn't the box show both then? - a potential area for improvement).

Bit of a geeky question, but greateful for your answer.

I would welcome a field where release date could be entered to solve this problem.

Hello,

Only the year is considered for the record of the newest or oldest coin in your collection. The system won't differentiate between 2 coins issued during the same year.

When there is a tie, only one coin is selected, in a non-deterministic manner.

The idea to record the release date is already tracked here: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic119318.html

Thank you. I didn' notice. I moved it to the “Numista website” forum, as it can be interesting for everyone.
