Looking at my improvement hints, I see requests to add the “Fantasy Animal” tag to notes like this one, which all feature a griffin. Perhaps I'm being pedantic, but isn't a griffin a mythological animal? I know there's a “Mythology” tag but perhaps we need a specific one for animals like this?

The tag “fantasy animal” is intended for all imaginary animals that do not exist in the real world, but usually found in mythology, folklore, or fictional works.
Should we rename it into something else for better clarity? Mythological/mythical/fantastical/imaginary/legendary animal/creature/beast?
We could use "fantastic beasts" but we might have to pay royalties. To me, fantasy is recent fiction, myth is ancient fiction, hence my hesitation to apply the term “fantasy” to the griffin. However, if we want a single term, can I suggest "fictional creature"?
