Can tabs be added for each beginning letter to the mint listing? It is not convenient to scroll all the way through the listing to get to a mint that say begins with a “W”

Thank You

If you know the mint, you can just write it. If you start writing e.g. Wal then Walem, Belgium (1420-1422) will pop up in the list as your fourth choice.

Yes, if you start writing the name this usually help… unless you have also a lot of entries that consist the full text that you already entered.

My favourite exmaple is Royal Mint, Llantrisant, United Kingdom (1968-date) - when I enter “Royal Mint” it shows the full list of different mints with these two words (order of words ignored) like Royal Australian Mint, R. Canadian M., R. Hawaiian M. etc… the fastest entry for the one I need is to start with location and first three letters “lla” give me the only one result that I need :-)

I am not referring to the drop down menu when selecting a mint. I am referring to the listing in general.

Perhaps can be added filters:

  • initial letters of mint (your suggestion),
  • location (select box with territories and countries),
  • year...
Wanted & swap list (euro coins & world coins, exonumia and banknotes circulated) https://goo.gl/AQjfKp - I have euro & world CC coins for swap.

When verifying a new submission I find myself frequently using the general list. Either to verify if a mint is listed or to determine what mint is needed on a new submission.

This is a clear case when you just focus on the imoortant part: Llantrisant. Write “Lla” and problem solved.

I am familiar with Find. It is just a suggestion to improve the ability of looking up the over 3,900 listings.

Without ctrl+F the current listing is useless, so I do agree with the suggestion, just make it easier for everyone :-)

Always look on the bright side of life!

Sorry, but I don't see the problem here. Or rather, I don't really ubderstand what the problem should be. If you are looking for a specific mint you don't sit and scroll for 15 minutes to reach S, you just search for it.

I also have a hard time to see that anyone would be thinking “Hmm, I wonder which mints we have listed here.” Yo me it seems like you want a solution to slmething that isn't a problem. Sorry.

When verifying a new submission on Exonumia I deal with 100’s of different mints. I can not recall what everyone of them use as a mintmark so I refer to the list frequently.  I will need to pull up a mint to see other items listed under it to compare and make sure the submission is correct. For example. a HM mintmark can be Highland mint or Hoffman Mint. Highland is over halfway down the listing and Hoffman is less than halfway down the listing so you have to scroll between them.

The example above is a simple discovery but a common mistake for some contributors.

I was unaware that requesting quick tabs from A-Z for a link through the listing would be so…debatable.

There really should be something done with the list never the less. We have actual mints (official facilities responsible for the production of money), metal smelters, back alley artist hovels and even names of individual people, all intermingled.

This sentence alone changes everything.
