2,557 of January's new members selected a nation. 132 nations are represented this month. 489 are American, 332 are French, 189 are British, 128 are Canadian, 122 are Filipino, and 116 are Indian.
There were notable surges in memberships from Algeria, Austria, Bolivia, Canada, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Hungary, Israel, Kosovo, Lithuania, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden and Tunisia.
Ascension Island, Benin, BES Islands, Bhutan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Cambodia, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Gabon, Guernsey, Honduras, Isle of Man, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Macau, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Montenegro, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Senegal, Seychelles, Sudan, Suriname, Tajikistan, Trinidad & Tobago, Vietnam and Yemen each gained one new member.

Of the top 30 nations, Pakistan grew the fastest in January (2.9% increase), while India grew the slowest (0.7%). The USA grew by 1.3% and France grew by 1.2%.
