I would like information about the currency valuation of the coin in attached photos. I found it in this catalog but I was in doubt about the value. Thanks.

Hello

Absolutely not. His is not slabbed or professionally graded and it has potential defects.

Welcome to Numista again! Please don't forget about details. Weight, diameter, composition, etc. Having said that, it looks to be authentic and I would judge this at Very Fine 20. 1811 Mo HJ. . However, I think I see where this was a piece that was at one time made into jewelry as evidenced by the flat area at the top where a device was once attached. This most definitely reduces value if true. Please check the edge and compare for this defect and the details that should be on the edge at time of minting. On the same page you can compare what others are retailing similar dates of your coin without the defect.

Thanks for the answer. The diameter approx. 3.95 mm, composition: silver. I didn't weigh it, but it has the weight of silver, I believe it's authentic. As for the border, it alternates squares and circles. It has two places with dents, probably due to impacts on the upper edge and on the side, but it is in good condition. See pictures.

Thanks

Sorry double post.

No question it is authentic and the edge pattern confirms it. I do not see the altered edge above the bust as impact damage. There is evidence of some type of additional solder/ metal remaining for the purpose of adding a bezel or clasp directly to the coin. This was most certainly done intentionally at one time and since has been removed leaving traces of the extra metal. That was not on there when minted. Somebody wore this as a necklace at one time. Still a beautiful coin but unfortunately altered at one time which does reduce value.
