I found this old coin in my grandfathers attic in a small box, I do not know what it is sadly… maybe some of you know?

The coin i found

CONCORDIA RESPARVÆ CRESCUNT

Referee of south atlantic islands

Using the lettering posted by Frenchlover you can do a search and your coin will be in the results.

Even with the reverse wording, the lettering is so weird, that it's just an evocation …

Possibly a token or a fantasy piece, as it has the reverse design of a ducaton on one side, Ducaton "Silver Rider" - Province of Holland – Numista

and the obverse design of a silver ducat on the other, Ducat, Silver - Province of Holland – Numista

and the workmanship is certainly inferior to that of any mint in the Dutch Republic?

Sadly my research only lead to ducatoons. My grandfather sadly does not know the history behind it either…

About the workmanship, it's not the worst in my opinion.

The side-by-side comparisons are most helpful in seeing major differences (click on them to enlarge).  In particular the fonts and the dentils are poorly executed on your item… and the less said about the knight, the better 🙂:

I also noticed that the font is quite bad.
But why does the knight hold 2 weapons? A sword and a halberd.

I think it may be a Jeweller who made it, or someone who tried counterfeiting this coin.
It could also be a play coin, jeton.
