I have this fairly large Asian coin. My grandfather brought it back from a tour around Asia in the 1970s. Unsure of country of origin, or if it is authentic or some sort of reproduction. I’ve tried to find it but had no results. Any help is appreciated.

It's an auspicious charms

For sure you can see the dragon on reverse, then …may be a lion ?

On obverse I can't decipher the lettering, the last letter may be Qian 钱 (money) and may be a chicken that represent "lucky" because both characters are pronounced ji.

But my interpretation is quite unreliable, it would be great that an honorable colleague, fluent in Mandarin, decipher these four letters ㊙️

Oh Alright, thank you very much. I figured it was something a bit different. I did a rubbing of it and on the lettering side and it looks like there’s  a man carrying something. Characters are hard to make out.

Hello

The two first caracters seems to say:

All the gods and spirits

If you can do a better pictures I can send it to my friend who is able to read old chinese cause she can't decipher the last two

Sorry for the delay. Here is a close-up of the characters.

諸神迴避
(all gods sidestep)

Thank you very much. Do you know what that means exactly? Sidestepping? Like sidestepping  out of the way of bad luck?

That means : The gods avoid spending money

Fight against dragons and tigers, Taoist charm.

The gods avoid the round wear and spend money. One side is the pattern of the meeting of dragons and tigers, the other side is the four characters that the gods avoid (see below)* ?, and the right side is the portrait of Jiang Ziya. The head looks to the right, the apricot yellow flag is on his shoulders, and there are auspicious clouds at his feet. It has the meaning of praying for peace and protecting the home!
