UN (Qu'aiti, large set, souvenir sheet)

What is the only place in Ukraine to designate Romanian as a regional language, from 2012 until declared unconstitutional in 2018,  and what raion is it located in today?

Winning entry will be first received at or before noon Sept. 17, 2022, US eastern time and have both the place and raion named. If there is no entry with both named, winner will be entry with either one named. If neither is named, winner will be first response. My decision as to winner will be final.

Competition is open to all. Good luck to all who participate. Sorry I am slowing down with these but other demands on my time have been increasing.

Better luck to future participants.

I have a Ukrainian friend who understands some Romanian, but I did have to research this one.  Thanks again for the contests!

Amm…I have a doubt! Actually, I am confused…

Tarasivtsi was not the only place where the Romanian language was designated as a regional language…

Nijnie Petrovti(village) in the Chernivtsi region had designated the Romanian language as a regional language(Nov. 2012) too…and before that, The Romanian language received regional language status in(1) Apşa de Jos, (2) Slatina, (3) Biserica Albă(Bila tserkva), (4) Transcarpathia, and (5) Tărsăuţi(Tarasivtsi)

So, Nijnie Petrovti(village) was the 6th place to obtain such status for the Romanian language…

Please throw some light on this topic…

Najuk, I was relying on Wikipedia article on Tarasivsti. “Tarasivtsi was notable as the only place in Ukraine where the Romanian language had been designated as a regional language. This occurred after Ukraine permitted regional languages to be designated in August 2012. The Constitutional Court of Ukraine on 28 February 2018 ruled this legislation unconstitutional.” Since waisaacs agreed with my answer, I leave it stand as the correct answer, though more thorough research indicates there were other places. If this had been brought to my attention before waisaacs responded I would have canceled the competition.

I understand…it clears my doubt…

Thanks for the reply😊
