Well, I plan to play it I suppose. It's new enough for almost everything to be electrical and since the power cord is broken off I probably won't be plugging it in... ever. However, I can still move the flippers with my hands and I've still got one of the balls so it is playable.
I'm thinking about bringing it to a career/technical school or something and having it restored. They get a cool project and I get a nice looking, functioning machine.

Okay. That makes sense. You should put some coins in it!
I do but they keep coming out through the coin return slot. Very rarely does it accept a coin. I've even tried silver coins and the only ones that worked were foreign.
Were there any coins in the machine box? Who gave it to you for free? Thanks for sharing and what a cool thing to get for free. I hope it brings you much fun and happiness.

I knew someone would mention that. The first thing I did was check the coin drop and the coin return which yeilded no results. There were coins in there at some point and I suspect they had been there for a while because I could see where they had been.
My mother has a friend who's husband is an engineer and he fixes up machines like this. He bought it with the intentions of fixing it up but never got around to it since he was working on another one. It sat around for a few months so he was planning to throw it away and when my mom found out about it she thought I might like it. We went and checked it out and it seemed fine so I said I'd take it. I picked it up two days later and was surprised to find there was still a ball in it.
