1811 Cornish penny token [solved]

6 posts • viewed 298 times

I bought this at a coin show from a large box with a great mixture of coins for 2$ each. It measures 35 millimeters round, weighs 20.11 grams and is medal alignment. The numista link is N#186941 I know there are replicas but the weight is closer to the real one. I was wondering if it is real because of it's very good condition and weight is a little off and the price is low. I was wondering what the numista members think. Is it genuine? and approximate value. Thank you for your thoughts.

 Replica.

The obverse of that and yours does not have the stars on left and right.

The original in your link does.

Thank you ZacUK, I feel a little foolish I did not notice that myself. I appreciate your response and wish you all the best in your numismatic pursuits!
