Looking for any info on this coin attached to a ring.. My parents acquired it in Saudi Arabia in the early 80's, but I have no other information. thanks
It looks like a silver rupee from India, most likely Mughal period. Hopefully another one of our members will be able to identify it more specifically. If you can post a photo of the other side (granted, probably largely hidden by the ring) it still might help.
The coin is in the name of Shah Alam II. From the style of the coin it is most likely of French India - Arkat mint.
