OK, I think I've found this. Richard I penny. But not sure how I can tell if its a replica? 

I've also done a few tests on it. It's not magnetic and there is some residue coming off when wiping it with a white cloth.

I would suspect a replica wouldn't look so worn.  I think it's a Richard Penny too, but I don't know which one.

I'll try and get the exact weight. Will I be able to tell by the weight if its a replica? 

And if its real what value would you put on it? Just so I can buy it off the person in work for a good price 

Hi, I have some similar, with what looks like a rampant lion on the back, and I believe they are medieval coins from Cyprus . However, the crosses on mine look slightly different and mine have dots, rather than writing around the edge. 
 

you may want to have a look at some of the crusade / medieval type coins from the Mediterranean see if any of those help ?
