Hi,

I notice that “Bank of Canada” is used as both an issuing bank and issuing entity. Is the latter necessary?

Numista referee for banknotes from Canada, USA, Costa Rica, China, Macau, Singapore, & Taiwan.

The “Bank of Canada” was entered for every notes Issuing Entity on the french version of the site. Back in march, I copied this field content on the English version also for consistentcy. Allmost all of the notes on the English version of the site were without anything entered for both fields (Issuing Entity and Issuing Bank).

When the new guidelines will be avalaible, soon I hope, I was told that the difference between Issuing Bank and Issuing Entity will be cleared. We will fix this ambiguity then, if needed.

Best regards,

Celine,

There should be 2 separate lines - ‘Banque du Canada’ & ‘Bank of Canada’.

Both of them are the Bank's name in both French & English.

Aidan.

There should be only issuing bank, not issuing entity.
