Could someone tell me if this is a coin, and if so, when is it? and if it has value....? I don't know what kind of material it is, but I know that there is a Japanese coin from the year 1871 that has the same design as the two birds

Not a coin and no, no Japanese coin with two hōōs was made in 1871 the first patterns of them were made at the end of WW1.

It cannot be a coin with one side blank! And yes,the 2 birds appear on sen(cents) coins of Japan ONLY about WW1,NO IN 1871! Sorry,where did you see the contrary?! Perhaps the item is some kind of proof but it hasn't sufficient design elements to identify for sure…
