Bit of a long shot...very crusty coin, around 26mm..

Not sure if roman or just very worn other...appears hammered? Not sure if any may be able to identify?

Much appreciated,

Joe
For what it is worth I cropped the pictures >
[around 26mm]
Second picture looks like a tower with a bridge either side. May be anything though.
Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
Many thanks Zac!

Really crusty coin, hence not expecting to work out what it was..I think it could be a bronze roman coin- but well beyond help!

Looks too round and flat to be Roman, my guess would be 17th-18th century. Try soaking it in olive oil and post the results.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
Thanks zac, will give it a go...
The oil highlighted a tiny bit more detailJust worked out that a very faint harp with crown above is on the back..the front is totally corroded. You were right, it is a very destroyed c18th coin- hibernia George 3 half penny...I have found a few others in much better condition in the same field...
it is almost all eaten away!
