I’ve bought quite a bit of world coins sold by the pound and I’m wondering how those who buy the same get rid of the excess coins that they don’t need? I’ve built up quite the mound and am not sure what’s the best way to unload it.
To sell is as a bulk lot:)

Thank you for the advice. ;)

Just throw it back up on eBay then? Haven’t ever listed anything there myself because the -10% then shipping costs were kind of putting me off. But if that’s the only way to do it then I guess that’s the price to pay.
I've never sold anything at Ebay because for me commissions would be about 25%... Maybe you can try to offer everything to your local coin shop for the price you want to receive at Ebay minus postage and commissions

Starting a swap list on here can't hurt. No matter how common a lot of it is, someone on here doesn't have it and is trying to trade away something you might want.
You can always offer them for sale on Instagram or in some of the Facebook coin groups wouldn’t hurt and the only fees you have to worry about is PayPal.

Matt
If your have coins with monetary value such as Euros, CAD dollars, Swiss Francs you can exchange them Here and they even exchange withdrawn currencies such as Deutsche marks.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to start a swap list. Went down to Harbor Freight today and bought one of those 40 bin small parts organizers to help keep coins easily findable. Logging the coins will keep me busy enough to put off buying more coins in the mean time.

I do buy coins by the pond either, but after collecting what I need to add to my own collection I simply swap the left overs.
Sellng them back on etsy, e-bay or Marktplaats (dutch site) it's also an option when you want to see some of your investiment back.
Cents are money too!

is there a site like this in North America? Obviously overseas shipping would make this a bit impossible…
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins
I buy bulk coins also. It's amazes me how many hours of enjoyment a $100 of coins will provide. I just finished going through some of mine. I have a massive shoebox filled with rolls of similar coins. I was going to try to sell the rolls to people. It's all UK, GRM, CAN, and a few other ones. In the US, we have a place I haven't used yet called https://www.foreigncurrencyandcoin.com/exchange-rates/ . But the rates are really bad and I feel like a traitor for exchanging perfectly good coins for actual money. Then, I also have 25 pounds of worthless coins like old pesos, italian lire, french francs, etc.
I guess you could take them down to your local auction house and do ok selling them. If you come up with any good ideas, let me know!
I know 1 guy that seperates them by metal, and sells them to scrap yards.

God will judge him!:o
Im having all the old Bronze and Copper coins that arnt worth anything Melted down and made into a Bell I call them Shrapnel as they are beyond collectable and of no significant Value. At this time I have around 15kg of these that no one wants and are of no Historical Value.
So if you cannot sell them and they are in the way turn them into something useful.
