Question: What former president (now dead) of a European country was also a successful stamp designer?

​Hitler's adversary FDR was a big time stamp collector and owned one of the best collections in the world at the time. He sketched numerous ideas for stamp designs some of which were turned into stamps.

I am looking for a European president who is no longer alive. So no FDR or Ahtisaari (still living).
