Presently there is a gap between 1644 and 1646 on Felipe IV Mexico 8 reales page.
it is also probably purchased recently enough that if you went to completed listings you could magnify them to your hearts content there also.

I dont see the five at all. Maybe I am just blind though?

I outline here using the red pen. you have to see that the stem of the 5 lifts off to up and to the right from the inner rim
Easier to see with the coin in-hand. I agree it's not the most visible digit ever made.

One thing that would help us is if someone has a clear shot of a 1643, then we would know that the lower half of this '5' is...not the same style as it's known the 3 was made. Also 1649 would help. any other digit with the trailing stroke coming down.
I used that trick to verify that I had a very worn 1725 shilling, proving that the '5' wasn't the same style digit as how a (much better grade in my collection) 1723 SSC shilling's '3' looked.

if someone can verify that the 1649 has a very 'boxy' or 'angular' upper half of the 9 I think we can call this one debunked.
I'm not too badly put out because I am just collecting one coin per decade of Mexico and Potosi, and the '4' of the 40s is solid enough.
