I like the designs of Communist/Socialist coins so can you post your favourite coin or coins from the DPRK so maybe in the future I can buy one.

I have a friend who travelled to a particular place in China that borders North Korea. She told me that North Korean souvenirs were being sold there and got me an album filled with North Korean coins and banknotes :)

Are you really going to do this for every country?

No I’m not doing this for every country but for ones where the coins are hard to get or are very unique like this ones for example.

Palestine
Iran
Iraq
Syria
Greenland
Saint Helena and others.

I do not understand the intention or the goal is still missing, my life experience clearly tells me that it will not turn out well!
I will give you the advice of a collector -you are a young enthusiast ,, Concentrate all your strength- Jedi (/ˈdʒɛdaɪ/), Jedi Knights ,,
the only way and you will be the most popular member here everyone will love you and reward you.
It's easy to focus on just one section- ,, Coins idetifikation ,, help others by reading by searching ,searching the catalog or auction results.
Many of us have little time or need this help from fast enthusiastic people -and gradually believe me you will get friends here and a lot more knowledge of experience.,, But really only that one section,,
And maybe I'm wrong and your intention is specific to destroy the community, etc ......

​I too got that set - but not in that nice packing - when my wife and I were at DMZ (south side) in 2018. Before we went there we were warned to not let them know that we could speak and understand Korean. North Korea sure is a bizarre place.

How was it and did you get any photos?

I assume that possibly the coin sets you get from China are much better than the South Korean ones due to the amount of traffic that goes between the “Comrade” countries and last time I looked there was a similar coin set for sale on Ebay located in Canada was one from a ski resort within the DPRK.

Ive seen that you post often on my treads and have got involved in the previous commotions that have taken place here in the last couple of weeks and out of the people that insulted me with many comments you and a couple of other people have understood what I’ve meant and what you’ve said to me in your post.

If I wanted to destroy the forum I’ve would have already done it in a way all of you would not imagine.


When I posted these treads about coins from the 50s to now I thought that people would react positively and post in it but no although some have happily posted in the topic shoutout to those who have. I ignored the backchat and the minor criticisms even when you questioned about “cleaning coins and the state of them” I didn’t start arguing and calling names and insulting you I remained calm and gave you the reason why and posted much better scans of the coins.


Back to now like you said about just strictly contributing to just identifying coins for people and creating new pages to add to the catalogue I might do that for a couple of weeks and just leave the free discussion forum to do its own thing. When maybe I can post a my collection update.


I still don’t get why some people are like magpies picking at the little things and making them a big deal and if people still critique my way of posting I might need to get a admin involved to stop this almost “Cyberbullying” nature.

What country are you based in?

Are you harvesting data for some company.

Originally I was supporting of your threads and endeavours as they are breathing some life into our forum boards, but now it is just saturation and 90% of your threads are show me this and that. Yet all you have shown us is common coins from communist countries like the ones above.

I don't think our mods will do much to stem opinions, as this is a European based (French board) where all this PC nonsense and censoring free speech is not done. If people are getting sick of certain new members bombing the boards with increasingly stupid and pointless threads, they will eventually get tired of them and react.
