Token collector [1600-1899] with some coins
1 Mon - Japan

1941 - 25 Cents - Netherlands (German Occupation)
A coin from my Alma Mater sadly not the 5 mark version, but one day I will get one.
I have 3 favorites but I love them all equally:

Favorite larger coin: Greece 1844 10 Lepta

Favorite smaller coin: German States, Bavaria 1867 1 Kreuzer

Favorite coin with a story: USA 1 Dollar Centennial Olympic Games, Paralympics

I not only have the coin but the Mint die used to make the Obverse.
rsirian1 that is so cool
My favorite coin is the 1 Franc at the turn of the XXth century.
What a kinesthetic design, with her Phrygian cap, her attitude full of energy, the rising sun in the background, her light clothing that smells of French sensuality, the sower embodies the French spirit

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble.  It's what you know for sure, that just ain't so.  Mark Twain
Many of my coins are favourites, but at the end of the day, the beauty of this coin always gets me.

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Wow! Some really rare beauties in fantastic, collectible condition here.
Love the Wellington penny from 1812 'Peter M. Graham.'
I don't really collect rare coins like you folks. I have just acquired the easy "armchair/lazy collector" non circulating stuff. (I know, I know, "my bad"). So my favourite has to be this encapsulated monster $10 Koala bullion coin from Australia (just b/c its 'big & shiny'). I guess I'm bit of a gorilla when it comes to coins. Maybe one of these days I'll educate myself & pick up some rare pieces.

Its a hard choice but this one is definitely among my favorites:
Yes, it is a quite hard choice.

Nevertheless, I do prefer this 8 REALES 1838 minted in Cuzco for the Republic of South Peru, during the short life of the Peruvian-Bolivian Confederation. The detailed and rather "naive" design of the reverse, trying to show the richness and diversity of the country always surprises me
