Colombia 1986 John Paul II Pastoral Visit Medal

I'm trying to get more information about the Colombia 1986 John Paul II Pastoral Visit Medal. I recently added this medal as a token issued by Colombia. However, I doubt this medal was minted by a branch of the Colombian government.

So far all I have found online are postings in Colombian auction and classified ad sites such as Mercado Libre, Preciolandia, and OLX without many details about the medal.

The best result I have found was in WorthPoint. This page has the medal's weight and measurements (which I have not verified).

Most medals are privately issued- not issued by any government.
