(en) Sisipo was an ancient Iberian mint of uncertain location, related to a city found in classical sources with different names. Plino cites it as "Detumo", while Ptolemy calls it "Detunda", and reports that it is an inner city of the Turduli. The monetary finds are distributed between Jerez and Arcos de la Frontera in Cádiz, where the mint is supposed to be located. In the second half of the 2nd century BC, Sisipo issued bronze asses and semisses. (source: Leandre Villaronga, Jaume Benages; 2011. "Ancient Coinage of the Iberian Peninsula".
