Description

This 1983 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. It was issued in a grey plastic wallet.

The set contains six standard definitive coins. 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.

The NCLT $1 coin is commemorating the 50th anniversary of New Zealand currency with images from left to right of pre-decimal coins, half crown, florin, shilling, threepence, sixpence and decimal coins 2 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents and 50 cents.

With this set the NCLT $1 coin has reverted to the Arnold Machin 2nd Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

An Error 1983 Set has been found that contains two 50 cent coins and no 20 cent coin.
