Description

BELGIAN SCIENCE IN A FESTIVE MOOD

The year 1992 will be a milestone in the history of Belgian Science. For the first time, a Belgian scientist will have a share in the conquest of space by participating in a space expedition. In March of this year professor Dirk FRIMOUT, a citizen of the nice town of POPERINGE, will fly off with the space shuttle in connection with the "ATLAS" mission. This will enable him to display his exceptional scientific knowledge. An old dream will thus come true for him, a dream which will have supported him during his long years of specific training. This mission will place Belgium among the big countries which take part in space exploration.
