Description

This set of 20 Coins was released by the Royal Australian Mint in an Album to celebrate the Centenary of Federation in the year 2001.

 

There were Nine 20 Cent coins that were designed by Australian schoolchildren from each of the relevant States and Territories. (Six States & Three Territories)

 

There were Ten 50 Cent coins that represented the Six Australian States, Three Territories & The Country as a whole.

 

There was also a single $1 coin that commemorated the Commonwealth in the Centenary of Federation.

 

Each coin was issued in a capsule inserted into a page of the album.  Within the album there were 5 double sided pages holding 4 coin capsules each.
