Coins and banknotes were issued during the following armed conflicts: the Reapers' War (1640-1659), the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1715), the Peninsular War (1808-1814), the Carlist Wars (1833-1876), the Cantonal Rebellion (1873-1874), and the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
