The article is devoted to the Life-Guard Kexholmsky Regiment medals from the State Hermitage numismatic collection. They are characteristic specimens of regiment memorial medals. The tradition of striking this type of medals can be traced from the mid 19th century, it rapidly evolved up to the beginning of World War I. The end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century was the time of bicentennial jubilees of guards and army regiments created by Peter the Great. These medals evidence the history of interdynastic and international relations with West European countries, the birth or development of which also started in the period of his great reforms.
The archive materials published in the paper give important data about the material and production amount of these medals.
