Abstract
The publication of the recollections of A. G. Belova, the daughter of L. N. Belova and G. D. Belov, the renowned experts on the archaeology of Classical Antiquity and numismatics of the Northern Black Sea area. Belova met Anna Markova during WWII in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg), where the Hermitage had been evacuated. They continued to see each other in Leningrad, but much less regularly after A. Belova had moved to Moscow
