Our historical and archaeological knowledge of the Seleucid period in Iran is poor. One problem with the study of this period is the shortage of sources. However, remarkable Seleucid coins from the eastern mints are present in various collections in Iran, among them a large number of types of Demetrius I. This paper presents four new drachms of Demetrius I with the standard type of Apollo on the omphalos. These coins are kept in the collections of the Khorram Abad (Luristan), Hamedan, and Malek (Tehran) museums.
