Abstract

1. Circa 1940 two coins were found in Khwarezm. Scholars attributed them to the «  Nameless King  ». One coin was kept in Moscow, another in Samarqand, so that they were never put side-by-side and studied closely. New monetary finds and publications allowed to establish that there were two «  Nameless kings  », instead of the one king. 2. A hoard of coins of the Khwarezmian king «  Ramik  » (reading of V. A. Livshits) found together with Sasanid coins allowed to date the reign of this king. The writer doubts the reading «  Ramik  » and supposes the reading «  hmwsp  ». 3. Three types of coins (and three monetary reforms) of the king Savshafan are studied.
