- The Nagari numerals '17' on the obverse may refer to Vikrama Samvat 1917 (=AD 1860) when the coins with the Queen Victoria legend were first introduced. The numeral 17 is found within the 'nun' of 'farman' on all the coins with the Victoria legend
- Mint marks (on the reverse, bottom left) a bird and an umbrella (on the reverse, top right) are the mint marks of the Princely State of Jaisalmer under the reign of Rawal Bairi Sal (1864-1891).
