The Federation of Damanhur is a commune, ecovillage and spiritual community situated in the Piedmont region of northern Italy about 50 km north of the city of Turin. Oberto Airaudi founded it in 1975 with around 24 followers and it has grown to more to almost 1,000 inhabitants. The community has its own constitution and currency, the Credito (1 credito=100 cali). These coins are extremely hard to find as they are rarely found outside the community.
People living in Damanhur and doing paid work for the community get paid in Crediti. The value of 1 Credito equals 1 Euro.
The coins were used within the community as money, one could pay with either Euros or Crediti in all their shops and restaurants. Due to measures taken because of the Corona virus Damanhur coins were taken out of circulation.

Here is proof of the existence of the 2001 issue (the coin comes out of the cash register in the Damanhur supermarket), together with the improved weight and thickness measurements, as well as a picture showing the 10, 20 and 50 cali coins are magnetic and thus cannot be made of aluminum. The almost certainly false (previous) aluminum listing likely comes from an otherwise great webpage on Damanhur coins (http://www.taedivm.org/damanhur1.html), showing the same measurements (previously) listed on Numista, that are unrealistic when comparing the correctly listed diameters. The 20 cali shown on this webpage is from 1999, a year that can safely also be added.
Previously listed for 10 cali: 1.8 grams, 1 mm thick, my measurement: 1.6 grams, 1.3 mm thick.
Previously listed for 20 cali: 2.0 grams, 1 mm thick, my measurement: 2.5 grams, 1.55 mm thick.
Previously listed for 50 cali: 2.5 grams, 1 mm thick, my measurement: 3.5 grams, 1.53 mm thick.
