Oryginalny wpis dotyczący tej monety wymienia dekorację na rewersie jako "kaligrafię kuficką". Kufic jest najstarszą kaligraficzną formą różnych arabskich skryptów opracowanych w VII wieku. Elementy projektu są idealnie symetryczne i choć nieco podobne w stylu, wydaje się, że nie ma kaligrafii. Potwierdzone również w tym wątku na forum: https://en.numista.com/forum/topic167668.html.
