Herb Trynidadu i Tobago: koło okrętowe przed owocującą palmą kokosową. Pod kołem znajduje się wieniec, który utrzymuje płaszcz na miejscu. Hełm jest hełmem skierowanym do przodu. Elementy na tarczy to dwa szumiące ptaki. Trzy złote statki reprezentują trzy statki Kolumba. Wsporniki to szkarłatny ibis (narodowy ptak Trynidadu) po lewej i kakadu (narodowy ptak Tobago) po prawej. Trzy szczyty upamiętniają zarówno decyzję Kolumba o nazwaniu Trynidadu imieniem Trójcy Świętej, jak i trzy szczyty południowego pasma górskiego, zwanego "Trzema Siostrami" na horyzoncie. The devices on the Shield are the two humming birds. The three gold ships represent the three ships of Columbus. The Supporters are a Scarlet Ibis (the national bird of Trinidad) on the left and a Cocrico (the national bird of Tobago) on the right. The Three Peaks commemorated both Columbus' decision to name Trinidad after the Blessed Trinity and the three Peaks of the Southern mountain range, called the "Three Sisters" on the horizon. Inscribed on the motto scroll are the words: "Together we aspire, together we achieve"
