NAVAL JUNIOR OFFICERS MESS
AIN EL TURCK
MESS TICKET
5 FRANCS
Ain El Turck operated as a major Allied staging, medical, and rest & recreation base supporting the naval port of Oran immediately following Operation torch in November 1942. Because of its coastal resort layout, the town was rapidly requisitioned by the United States Navy and the U.S. Army to service the thousands of servicemen arriving in North Africa.
