Médaille émise pour commémorer la venue de Jean Paul II qui avait prévu d’assister à la clôture du Congrès eucharistique de Lourdes en juillet 1981, mais l’attentat du 13 mai 1981 avait empêché ce voyage. Il est finalement venu en pèlerinage à Lourdes les 14 et 15 août 1983.
