Ta moneta zastąpiła KM# 60, wybijaną w latach 1789-1791, z podobnym projektem, ale z kilkoma zmianami:
Popiersie zostało zmienione i umieszczone wyżej (wygląda na większe),
Na awersie imię króla zostało zmienione z "CAROLUS IV" na "CAROLUS IIII", prawdopodobnie w celu łatwiejszego zrozumienia liczb rzymskich.
Na rewersie "REX" w tytule został skrócony do "R", prawdopodobnie w celu zaoszczędzenia miejsca.
Wydaje się jednak, że zmiany te były wprowadzane stopniowo, w ciągu 1791 roku.
Wszystkie monety KM# 60 pokazują inicjały "PR" mistrza i mincerza, tak samo jak KM# 69, aż do 1795 roku.

Znana jest moneta "przejściowa", na której widnieje dolne popiersie (stare) i nominał "IIII" (nowy), a na rewersie tytuł "REX" (stary).

This coin replaced KM# 60, minted from 1789 to 1791, with similar design, but adding a few changes:
Bust is changed and placed higher (looking larger),
On obverse king's name is changed from "CAROLUS IV" to "CAROLUS IIII", possibly to make easier to understand Roman numbers
On reverse "REX" in title was shortened to "R", possibly to save space.
But these changes seem to be done gradually, during 1791.
KM# 60 coins all show "PR" initials of master and assayer, same as KM# 69, up to 1795

Is known a "transitional" coin where it shows lower bust (old) and denomination "IIII" (new), and on reverse title as "REX" (old)
