There are six medals in this series, similar to the later issued (1967) - larger medals (52 mm) - “Fathers of Confederation” also by the Wellings mint. According to Brian Thomson (THO), “They're a beautiful series for sure. They make them in .999 silver also. They aren't 1967 Centennial rather 1964 Centennial of Charlottetown Conference. Some people collect them in their 1967 collections …”
The original engraver, Frederick Alexander Fraser is given credit on these, but not in the later series from 1967.
Weights & thicknesses vary from 26.23 to 36.4 grams (average is 29.5 gm) and 2.5 to 4 mm.
