Satirical medal on the Italian 'unscrupulous ballad singer Gabriele d'Annunzio, who, paid with French money, incited the agitated soul of the Italian people to boiling point.' D'Annunzio himself was a soldier in the First World War and wrote numerous propaganda slogans.
