The National Census Commemorative Medal (國勢調査記念章) was awarded in 1921 to commemorate the first modern national census conducted in Japan and its territories on October 1, 1920. It was given to officials and individuals who contributed to the census, including those in the Japanese government, local administrations, and colonial authorities in Korea and Taiwan.
